BRITT GOODWIN

With many years in the performing industry some of Britt's stage and live performance credits include MC for the World Championships of Performing Arts as well as lead roles in the Australian premiere of Annie Warbucks, Perils of the Pirate, The Enchanted Forest, Who Shot the Sheriff? and the Lord Mayors’ Carols. Other live events include festivals such as Oktoberfest, as well as corporate events including Mercedes-Benz and Beautiful You.

Film and TV credits include NBC's Young Rock, ABC Internationals’ Harrow, Netflix’s A Perfect Pairing, The Driver, The Yoga Prank and the US television series Xtreme Waterparks. Britt has also appeared in various TV commercials such as Harcourts, Jtax, Lovestone Cottages, Bowmaker Reality, Crimsafe, Maroochy Bowls, Standby, and Ladbrokes to name a few.

 

Additional to her career as a professional performer, Britt has been teaching dance & circus for 14 years, specialising in the anatomy and biomechanics behind safe and effective flexibility, contortion, acrobatic & conditioning training, as well as jazz & lyrical technique. Britt is also experienced in tap, musical theatre, ballet, contemporary & aerial hoop. Britt holds a Bachelor of Science (Sport & Exercise), Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management and Graduate Diploma in Psychological Science, allowing her to bring a unique skill set to her teaching that emphasises the importance of the fusion of physical and mental strength in the training, execution, and performance of skills, while ensuring training is accessible and enjoyable for students of all levels.

 

Britt is trainer and choreographer of the Goodwin 'Danse et Cirque' act, winning the most prestigious title of Grand Champion Variety Artists of the World at the World Championships of Performing Arts from over 2500 acts across 68 countries. Britt is also choreographer of their new cirque act which was filmed for the TV series 'Totally Wild,’ one of Australia’s longest-running children’s shows. Britt has choreographed and directed many shows for dance & circus artists including Enigma, Survivor and C’est la Vie, as well one of the largest Australian music festivals ‘Airwaves,' just to name a few. Previously, Britt also represented Australia at the World Championships of Performing Arts in California, returning with 55 awards, including seven world titles for her performances.

 

Having relocated to London, Britt now teaches both children and adults at various training facilities, including the National Centre for Circus Arts and London Youth Circus. Britt is also enjoying furthering her online training platform to allow access to training for artists and performers from anywhere in the world, with students currently from the UK, USA, Europe, Australia and New Zealand!
